ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
Candidates demonstrating a strong Christian commitment, moral character, personal integrity, and a sincere desire to pursue training as worship leaders, artists and musicians are considered for admission to Institute for the Arts.
Admission may be denied for such things as crime, moral turpitude, misconduct, prior suspension or any other factors that would be detrimental or disruptive to the Institute or to students.
FIRST-TIME APPLICANTS
A first-time student is defined as an applicant who has not completed at least one full semester of coursework at Institute for the Arts. A high school or equivalent diploma is required for admissions to IFTA/School of Ministry. The application process is outlined in the section entitled Application Procedures.
APPLICANTS FOR READMISSION
Students interrupting their study at IFTA by not enrolling any subsequent spring or fall semester must submit an Application for Readmission to the Office of Admissions.
APPLICATIONS

Application (available in paper form or for download from the website)
Application fee ($35.00)
Standard passport photograph (attached to the application)
Pastoral recommendation (a form is included with the application)
Two (2) personal recommendations (forms are included with the application) Applicants may not use family members or relatives.
Audition materials (not applicable for School of Ministry applicants). All applicants for the IFTA music program must submit audtion materials. Full details for audition material requirements are available in the catalog under the section titled Application Procedures.
Secondary School Transcript (a form is included with the application) Applicants must have an official high school transcript or the equivalent sent directly form the granting entity’s registrar to the IFTA Admissions Office
Post-secondary Transcript(s) ( a form is included with the application) Those wishing to pursue an Associate of Arts or Bachelor of Arts degree should have official transcripts sent directly from any previous accredited college or university to the IFTA Admissions Office.
Interview A personal interview is required of each applicant. Applicants must call the Office of Admissions to schedule an interview with school officials.

APPLICATION DEADLINE
Institute for the Arts admits students once each year in the fall. Students applying to IFTA need to submit application materials by the deadline of August 1 in order to receive priority consideration for admission. Students submitting applications received after August 1 are notified of decisions on a first-apply basis for admission.
